The Key2Benefits card can also be used to make purchases anywhere where Mastercard debit cards are allowed to use. KeyBank clients may use key2benefits card for phone, online, and mail order purchases. They can also use the card to withdraw cash at credit unions, banks, ATMs, or by getting cash back at participating retailers. Be wary that the funds are automatically deducted from the Key2benefits card balance.
How to activate key2benefits card
For clients security and safety, the best way to activate the key2benefits card is to call directly to the number on the back and then follow the instructions. To activate the key2benefits card, cardholders will be asked to provide:
- Card number
- Last 4 digits of SSN - Social Security number
- CVV, the 3-digit number on the back of the key2benefits card.
To activate the card, do the following:
- Call the number displayed on the backside of the key2benefits card; the cardholder will hear a welcome greeting.
- Click 1, “I have a card”
- Then select 1, “To activate your card”
- You can either key in or speak key2benefits card number
- You will be required to self-select a PIN or a personal identification number for key2benefits card use at merchant point-of-sale (POS) and ATMs locations to get cashback with purchase.

Your card must be activated and a PIN set to enrol into Key2Benefits.com. If you have not activated your card, call the number on the back of your card and follow the prompts to do so. Besides, you should be aware of the fact that your keu2benefits card account number is the number that is printed on the card. You should use that number when asked to provide your card number while logging on to its website or even when calling the number on the back of the key2benefits card.
If your card is already activated and you have a set PIN, then you will be enabled to use Key2Benefits.com. Here the instructions to follow:
Step 1 – Visit Key2Benefits.com.
Step 2 – Enroll on the first 9 digits of your card number.
Step 3 – Select “Submit”.
Step 4 – Click on the "New User? Enroll Now!" button located at the bottom of your screen.
Step 5 – Now enter:
- 16-digit card number
- Card Security Code (you can find this code on the back of the key2benefis card, on the right-hand of the signature field. Note that it is three numbers).
Step 6 – In the "Enter the code as it appears in the shaded area" type in the code which proves that it's a valid transaction.
Step 7 – Select “Continue”. As soon as you enter the information, you will be asked to set up a User ID and Password for future use.

If you need to reset your PIN you can do it via using Key2Benefits.com, or immediately call the automated phone system and follow the below-listed options.
- To recover PIN using Key2Benefits.com:
Step 1 – Log in to your account at Key2Benefits.com.
Step 2 – Choose “Change PIN” in the left-side menu.
Step 3 – Now the "Change PIN" options screen will display on your screen.
Step 4 – Enter your previous PIN only once and then enter a new PIN twice for confirmation.

Step 1 – Dial the number provided on the back of the key2benefits card.

Around 2 – 3 weeks after you enrol key2benefts by your state agency, you will receive a Key2Benefits unemployment card via mail. You will get a key2benefits card in a plain white envelope, and then you may start using your card once you activate it.
